Story Digest for March 1st to March 7th 2021

The Great Migration doubled Blacks wages and removed the fear of daily racial terrorism, however, there was White backlash against the new migrants. Black men benefited the least in the great migration. CZ is commuting zone a US census term for geographical region. SD = Standard Deviation.

This week we have some interesting research from Ellora Derenoncourt. She studied the great migration of Blacks from the south to the north. Her research discovered that, while Blacks doubled their wages, White backlash against the migrants prevented upward mobility especially for Black men.
